TERRO Spider & Insect Traps

Traps the Insects You Don't Want

TERRO Spider & Insect Traps are a simple way to prevents pests in the home. Place out this easy-to-use and non-toxic trap essentially anywhere in the home and trap and kill a variety of pests. Place traps in common insect traffic areas and check occasionally for caught pests, discard when ready or when trap is full.

What is Included?

Each packet includes four glue traps. These traps can be laid flat or folded to avoid contact from children and pets. Each trap measures 4 in x 10 in.

Product Features:

  • Traps and kills spiders, ants, cockroaches, crickets, and other crawling insects
  • Non-toxic sticky traps are ready to use either flat or folded
  • Traps can fold up to prevent children and pets from touching the sticky surface
  • Use around the home against baseboards, in corners, behind doors, or underneath furniture

Kills the "Big 3"

With over 40,000 spider species around the world, most people are really only concerned about the ones found around the home. There are a few that stand out from the rest and are commonly referenced as the "big 3": the black widow, brown recluse and the hobo spider. These are dangerous in the home and the TERRO Spider & Insect Trap is designed to trap and kill these spiders.

Non-Toxic, Easy-To-Use

With any household, typically there is some concern about children and pets coming in contact with an insect control product you might want to use. Have no fear as the TERRO Spider & Insect traps are non-toxic and can be folded up to prevent a sticky situation with children and pets.

How to Use

  1. Folding the trap along the marked lines
  2. Removing the backing from the sticky surface
  3. Creating an enclosed trap (skip if you want to lay it flat)
  4. Placing the trap in high-traffic areas for spiders and insects

Description

Our TERRO Spider & Insect Traps are ideal for families as the traps are pesticide-free and can be folded up. Folding the trap allows less access to the sticky glue for children and pets, but insects still can find a way inside! This trap can kill the “Big 3” which includes the black widow spider, brown recluse, and hobo spider. Not only is this trap for spiders but also for other insects such as ants, crickets, and cockroaches. To use the trap simply remove the backing from the sticky surface and place in a high traffic area. If you don’t want to use it flat, fold the trap along the marked lines and after removing the backing. Fold the trap to create an open box style. The new design now offers flexibility in creating four separate, smaller glue boards for multiple placements around the home. By adding more edges, efficiency has been proven to have increased by giving insects corridors to travel through to access and get stuck on more of the surface of the glue board. High traffic areas for insects include along baseboards, in corners, and underneath furniture to name a few.

Bought these in a desperate time of need and I''ll never look back! I live out in the country where spiders (huge, hideous, evil things only nightmares are made from) feel free to rudely and unapologetically invite themselves into my home, even after I''ve made numerous examples of their kin by murdering them with hairspray, perfume, and febreeze, and then flicking their lifeless bodies outside for all to see. Well, not anymore! Now they unsuspectingly waltz in and BAM! They''re forever stuck in these traps where they slowly die next to their idiot brother and cousin who attempted to set up camp earlier. Get these! You will not be disappointed!

Thank goodness for this product! Caught a SNAKE inside my home. Scared me and could have been much worse. Shocked and surprised it held the snake. Impressive! Lifetime customer indeed. Obviously works amazing on spiders; I had pretty much solved my spider issue, living near a wildlife preserve. But this! There just are no words to thank TERRO enough!

These spider traps are awesome. We have a lot of funky freaky big spiders where we live, and they are very good at managing to get inside, despite our best efforts. Pest #2 is crickets during the summer. They''re like wizards they just manage to teleport in here in herds. Sure, if we can catch them in a paper cup, we toss them back outside. But a lot of them hide in the nooks and crannies and it''s just chirp chirp chirp all night long. I just set these up along the wall in the recesses where nobody goes, like behind the toilet, under cabinets that are off the ground a few inches, inbetween two large pieces of furniture, behind the couch in the corner. At first I was checking them incessantly and I was disappointed. Like I expected every spider in the house to find the traps in the first 3 days. I forgot about them and some time a while later I came across one and I picked it up and peeked in, then yelped and almost dropped it because I didn''t expect to see anything at all and there were a bunch of big dead spiders in there. And a cricket. Excited, I went around the house checking all of the other ones and it was bugs bugs bugs. I couldn''t believe it. These things are great and I just set them up and forget about them for months, tossing and replacing a few times a year.

UPDATE (12/3/18):
We had a cricket decide to try to move into the chimney since we never use the fireplace. I thought cricket chirping couldn''t possibly get any more annoying, but it turns out that the acoustics in a dusty old chimney do that job just fine. I read somewhere online that you can put a little sprinkle of cornmeal on the center of a glue trap like this and it lures them right to it. It seriously worked like a charm! I put the cornmeal on one of the traps already sitting around (little spoonful right in the center) and stuck it on the floor of the fireplace along the edge, went to bed (with the door closed the the fan on to drown out the noisy little turd) and when I checked the trap in the morning, the cricket problem was solved. I probably could have left the cornmeal trap out instead of throwing it away, but I had visions of hordes of crickets flying in toward the cornmeal playing Ride of the Valkyries so I tossed it in the trash.

These are awesome for bugs. I catch all kinds of spiders, centipedes and assorted gross crawlers. I fold them over and put them along the wall behind and under stuff. Right now I cut some pieces and laid them flat on my plants because I got white flies or gnats or whatever those annoying little things are. Works great.
They don''t really work on tiny fruit flies. TIP for fruit flies - put banana peels in a bottle/jar/cup. Cover tightly with clear wrap and a rubber band. Poke small holes, just over the size of a toothpick stab, in the clear wrap.
Don''t know how they work on mice.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL around pets and small children. While non-toxic they are EXTREMELY sticky and you will pretty much have to cut any hair it comes into contact with. I strongly recommend placing where your pet/child can not reach them.

This is one of the best things I have ever purchased in my life. As a bonafide arachnophobe, my standards are very high as to what product will most effectively limit the number of spiders that lurk about my home. We have caught so many spiders with these simple glue strips. It is horrifying to consider how many spiders would have been sneaking around if we hadn''t purchased the Terro traps. But, now word is out that our house is where spiders go to die. I feel so much less anxious having these traps around! Granted, the clean up is kind of disgusting (big, black, dead spiders trapped in glue is pretty nasty), but I''ll take it over an encounter with a live spider any day.
Thank you, Terro!

I’ve caught 100 flies in 48 hours. II wish I could send you a photo of this I am very very glad for these traps bc they were flying and landing all over me and I hated the flies annoyance. Also caught a 9” lizard, which I was able to let go. Also caught a praying mantis thus far.
I researched flies and found out that when they land on food or humans they vomit on you and food to soften since they don’t have teeth. then suck your blood and dedicate on you! SO GROSS!!!! their wings flavor 100 times per second. They live for a month and hatch about a 100 babies. When i removed the traps cover for the first time I accidentally put my fingers on it. It was so hard to remove my fingers. Then I accidentally folded this trap with the glue touching each side. It took all my strength I had to pull it apart and it seemed impossible but I did it. If this review does not impress you then you are wrong. I’ve already bought 3 more boxes of traps and will continue to do so. These traps work Perfectley BELIEVE IT are not!!!!!

We moved into a house with an unfinished basement that was infested with spiders. The first traps were covered with spiders (and the occasional centipede) within weeks, but over time they seem to be controlling the population and we have seen a dramatic decrease in live spiders and spiders on the traps. I would experiment with locations until you find the best spots and then replace them when they fill up or collect dust. They are very sticky- you don’t want your kids or pets to get into them. In the living spaces where we put these they are behind a dresser or otherwise inaccessible.

I have bought these Terro traps several times over the years and really loved them. They were my favorite. Easy to set up, held together perfectly, flawless performance and design. Not so with the new version. (Which, oddly enough, they don’t picture here!) In the new version, the paper is difficult to peel off, the box won’t stick together or hold its shape to fit wall corners well (the slide tab is gone), and it is missing glue in certain patches that limit how you can position its newly crappy shape, so it just doesn’t fit a wall corner effectively anymore. There is also black branding printed inside now, which makes it harder to tell when they have caught anything - you have to look very closely at each one to know if they are positioned in a fruitful location. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d prefer to be able to tell by scanning from a distance. Save your time trying to make something of these and buy a different brand like Tomcat. These have gone to crap.
